Clive Anthony Thompson

Clive Anthony is a Jamaican-born writer-director and award-winning filmmaker whose work explores family, identity, and belonging through stories informed by his immigrant experience. A graduate of Columbia University with departmental honors in Film and Media Studies, Clive developed a deep appreciation for global cinema during his studies, which continues to inform his approach to storytelling. He currently leads community engagement at Film at Lincoln Center and has worked with renowned organizations including the Tribeca Film Festival and the Gotham Film & Media Institute.

A 2026 NAACP Cinematic Shorts Competition winner and Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab Semi-Finalist, Clive is committed to championing underrepresented voices and bringing unseen stories to the screen. His latest short film, Not a Word, has screened at the Black Harvest Film Festival and the New York Short Film Festival and is currently on the festival circuit.
